Fatherhood Manologues Presents First-Ever All-Women Show Exploring the Impact of Being Fathered
Hartford, CT — February 28, 2026
My People Community Services and The Manhood Tree proudly present the first-ever all-women edition of the Fatherhood Manologues, a powerful live storytelling event centered exclusively on women’s experiences of being fathered.
Taking place Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the historic Mark Twain House (351 Farmington Avenue, Hartford), this groundbreaking event brings together nine women who will share deeply personal stories examining how their relationships with their fathers shaped their identity, relationships, healing, and sense of self.
While fatherhood conversations often center on men, this special edition shifts the lens, elevating women’s voices to explore what it means to be fathered, supported, challenged, nurtured, or shaped by a father’s presence.
“This show is about honoring women’s lived experiences and recognizing that fatherhood leaves an imprint far beyond father-son relationships,” said Abdul-Rahmaan I. Muhammad, creator of the Fatherhood Manologues. “These stories highlight the profound and lasting influence fathers have on daughters; emotionally, relationally, and generationally.”
About the Fatherhood Manologues:
The Fatherhood Manologues is a storytelling experience that uses personal narrative to spark reflection, understanding, and community dialogue. This all-women show features presenters from diverse professional and personal backgrounds, each offering a unique perspective on father-daughter relationships.
